"Grandma's Needlepoint" 2022

The center portion of this quilt is my interpretation of a photo which Ken took of the needlepoint on a walnut chair that was in my Grandma and Grandpa Hanover's living room for many years. I think Grandma did the needlepoint, but I'm not sure. Patricia Hechler made a pattern from the photo in AutoCAD, and I designed the applique border. I started the quilt in May of 2019, and Patricia did the longarm quilting in October of 2022. I used Oakshott fabrics for the applique, and 50% linen and 50% cotton for the background and backing. The quilt is 42" X 43". This quilt has a very special meaning for me.
